What is PVD coating and how is it different from regular electroplating?

PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) bonds a titanium-based coating onto the steel at the molecular level inside a vacuum chamber. Compared to electroplating, PVD is 3-5x harder, more scratch-resistant, fade-proof and produces a smoother, more uniform metallic finish without toxic waste liquids.

What PVD colors are available?

We offer gunmetal black (standard), rose gold, champagne gold, titanium gray, sapphire blue and custom matched colors. Please send a reference or Pantone code for a custom color match.

Is the PVD finish scratch-resistant and durable?

Yes. PVD coating hardness is 3-5 times higher than traditional plating (HV 2000+ typical), making it highly resistant to scratches, abrasion and daily wear. It is one of the most durable finishes available for metal products.

Will the coating fade or peel over time?

No. Because the coating is bonded at the molecular level rather than layered on top, it does not peel, chip or fade under normal use, sweat or sunlight. This is a key advantage over painted or plated finishes.

Is PVD coating environmentally friendly?

Yes. PVD is a dry vacuum process that produces no chemical waste water or harmful by-products, making it a cleaner and safer alternative to electroplating - an important plus for brands with sustainability goals.

What is the MOQ?

Our standard MOQ is 100 pcs for custom-printed openers. For plain / blank items or repeat orders we can be flexible - please contact us to discuss your quantity.

Can I get a sample before placing a bulk order?

Yes. Stock samples are available immediately; custom samples with your logo take 3-5 working days. Sample cost is deducted from your bulk order.

What are the payment terms?

We accept T/T (30% deposit, 70% before shipment), PayPal and Trade Assurance. For first-time customers we recommend Trade Assurance to protect your order.

How long does production and shipping take?

Custom production takes 7-12 working days after artwork confirmation. Shipping takes 3-7 days by express, 10-15 days by air, or 25-40 days by sea, depending on your destination and order size.
