What is embossing and how is it different from etching or engraving?

Embossing presses your design UP from the metal surface with a steel die, creating a raised 3D relief. Etching and engraving remove material to create recessed marks. Embossed designs are raised, tactile and catch light from every angle - giving a more premium, dimensional look.

How high is the embossed relief?

Our standard emboss depth is 0.3-0.4mm above the card surface - clearly visible and tactile while keeping the card slim enough to fit a wallet. Deeper or shallower relief is available on request.

Is there a die or mold cost for custom embossing?

Yes, a one-time emboss die fee applies for custom designs (typically USD 80-150 depending on complexity). The die is yours to keep for repeat orders, and the unit price drops significantly at volume.

Will the embossed logo wear off over time?

No. Embossing is pressed into the metal itself - there is no coating or ink to peel, fade or scratch off. The raised relief stays crisp and sharp for the lifetime of the card, even with daily EDC use.

What finishes can be combined with embossing?

We offer mirror-polished raised surfaces, brushed backgrounds, PVD color coating (gunmetal, rose gold, etc.), laser engraving inside or around the relief, and blackening for extra contrast - mix and match to create your brand look.

Can I customize the logo and text?

Absolutely. Your logo, emblem or text can be embossed as a raised 3D relief, debossed (sunken), or combined with laser engraving. We can also emboss both sides of the card.

What is the MOQ?

Our standard MOQ is 100 pcs for custom-embossed openers. For plain / blank items or repeat orders we can be flexible - please contact us to discuss your quantity.

Can I get a sample before placing a bulk order?

Yes. Stock samples are available immediately; custom embossed samples with your logo take 3-5 working days (plus die making time). Sample cost is deducted from your bulk order.

What are the payment terms?

We accept T/T (30% deposit, 70% before shipment), PayPal and Trade Assurance. For first-time customers we recommend Trade Assurance to protect your order.

How long does production and shipping take?

Custom production takes 8-12 working days after die and artwork confirmation. Shipping takes 3-7 days by express, 10-15 days by air, or 25-40 days by sea, depending on your destination and order size.
